  3. that last shot is gorgeous! i've started throwing out dog food under the bird feeder tree (thanks to Abraham Lincoln's advice). They love it and stuff their beaks full.

  4. I can't believe that bird fitted THREE peanuts in their shell into his beak. That's a great survival skill to have. I'm rather fond of the birds in the crow family as well - they are such clever, resourceful survivors.

  16. Some crows are nesting in my neighbor's tree. There's been some strange noises coming from them. I can't wait to hear the chicks.

  17. Crows are such smart birds. Interesting social life, but very cautious, which makes them difficult to observe. I usually just see them walking around on a field. You are fortunate yours are so tame.
