More Fall Colour and Wildlife of the Vermilon River.

The photo collection in this post represents scenes and wildlife taken over two hikes in the east track area. We're in Indian summer now and the weather is beautiful. For the hikes, one morning was cool with frost, while the next was warm. Both were misty or foggy, and somewhat overcast  You'll be able to tell that from the background in the photos.

SINCE THERE ARE SOME 53 PHOTOS IN THIS POST, I SUGGEST YOU CLICK ON ANY PHOTO TO ENLARGE AND WATCH THE SLIDE SHOW.

Goose landing.

I was tempted to reverse this photo as the reflection in the head area is clearer than in the image, as a result of the reflection of the Flag on a building at the edge of the wetland. This is sequence two in the landing.

A post to I'd-Rather-Be-Birdin'Our World Tuesday, and Wild Bird Wednesday.

Immature White-crowned Sparrow

Just a quick
note: I had real trouble getting onto some of your sites on SWF. Particularly the early posters. Today on  Our World Tuesday I can't get into the sites of Sylvia  Reit, Birgitta, Joe Todd and Leena of Finland. I think it's Google/Blogger.

This otter lives in the upper wetland. The ones shown in an earlier post were photographed on the west side of the River. This one is quite large, larger than the others I think. He proceeded to race around in circles to entertain me.

  34. Fabulous as always. The Kingfisher in flight is my absolute favorite (and the shot I'm most envious of, because I love these birds and can never even get a shot of them when they're sitting still, let alone in flight). I love all your shots though -- the otter is totally cute. And the reflection shots (with the goose and without are beautiful). Thank you much.
