Friendly skies and RedPolls of the Vermilon River. A Post to Skywatch.

The weather is fairly interesting with a lot of snow left that is now crystallised, making the walking uneven, not great for me. I'm therefore not certain how many RedPolls remain in the forest site, but my flock is diminished. But some remain. The other day a large flock of Bohemian Waxwings swept through cleaning off any remaining berries that have been exposed by melting snow. We regularly have Cedar Waxwings so the sight of the Bohemians was great.I got some great shots, but they are still on the memory card.This tends to happen because I live in a forest and there are lots of subjects to shoot.

I included photo 5 because it may give you some idea of the size of these flocks.
