Strange Skies

 These skies are so typical of the weather here which has been warm, wet and now cool again. Today is about 12C or 18F.

Boom & I have been involved in domestic chores and finally got our outdoor plants in the hope that the frost season is over. I bought a New Guinea Impatience in the hope that the hummingbirds like the colour. As well I weeded the garden and cut the lawn to inhibit the growth of dandelions. I remarked to another resident of the complex that dandelions only grow on the periphery of the forest as other forest plants force them out and the trees shade the amount of sun available to them. I also added that perhaps instead of an English park we needed to have a landscape more in keeping with our home ecology. The idea was totally repugnant even though the park approach is a complete failure. Flexible minds in the north are at a premium.

The real clincher in the weather is the high winds from the south which are constant and drying, effectively sucking up any moisture that falls

I have written this post twice because the site refused to save copy. As well this morning I could hardly get into the site. And my preview area has never worked well since Blogger set out to rectify its meltdown. I remember Google's reassurance that its data collection was in safe hands. But I think Google has feet of clay, so be careful everyone what information we give them.

 These moon shots were taken in the afternoon about three o'clock, so the moon while visible was not up to its usual brightness. They're all bumped in PSE8.

You can enlarge the photos by clicking on them. See how white or buff the chest of photo 2 and 3 are. I think they, maybe, are Hoary RedPolls. Although the positive check is the buff/white area between their wings on their back.

The Goldfinch below is just to remind everybody that RedPolls are not the only birds around.

And of course, the incomparable Boomer who is always up for a few poses. By now you may have guessed that I bought the new computer. Six GB of ram and expandable, one TB of hard drive, and one GB in the video card. The lap top is now reserved for my music complete with its own external hard drive crammed with CD's. I'm just listening to Elton John and Leon Russel's CD called "The Union".

 I'm just in the process of removing the last of the photoshop pics from the laptop.

All of which proves Boom and I are just two boys with their toys.
