Great shots. Out west we don't call them carolina chickadees- I think black-capped ones are a little different?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit Mike and compliments. Gary & Boom.
ReplyDeleteNice photos, Gary. I particularly like the ones where you a good focus on the eye, which makes the bird come alive.
ReplyDeleteReally nice Chickadee.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bob. Boom & Gary.
ReplyDeleteHi Hilke: Eye shots are great, as Shelly said the eyes are the gateway to the soul. But I like the way these guys horse around upside down for instance. Boom & Gary.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures, so clear! =)
ReplyDeleteThanks Tricia and come back soon. Boom & Gary.
ReplyDeleteChickadees are amongst the friendliest of birds! I love to see them at my feeders. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, there is a difference in the Black Capped and the Carolina. I believe I saw my first Yardbird Black Capped mixed in with my Carolinas.
ReplyDeleteTo eileeninmd: You're right I looked up the info on the Cornel site. It said in the north they're Black-capped, in the south, Carolina. Where they overlap they usuually hybrids. I think mine are Blackcapped. Thanks for the Visit . Boom & Gary.
ReplyDeleteEG Wow: Thanks for the visit and you're right they're also funny. I have more shots of them upside down. Boom & Gary.
