Hi Hilke: You beat me to guessing. But I'm sure you're right. Did you check out Chris' Tales of Birding. He's doing a sparrow quiz which I know you'll win. Thanks for coming by Boom & Gary.
Hi LBB: Thanks for the visit. These photos are left overs from an attempt to determine, not in any scientific way, the number of variations we have in this forest of mine. Boom & Gary.
I am not even going to guess the ID of these sweet birds. Sparrows can be tough.:)
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteIt is good to have friends, even if they only weigh an ounce or so! I'll bet it's cold up there on the Vermilon because it sure is cold on the Pine!
ReplyDeleteTo Springman: Good hearing from you. Its cold we're having a dry blizzard-lots of cold wind not much snow.
ReplyDeleteTo Jen: Thanks for the visit. How're the dogs getting along.
ReplyDeleteMy guess: American Tree Sparrow - bicolored bill and spot on chest seen in middle picture.

ReplyDeleteI second the ID of American Tree Sparrows. We only get these guys in the winter down here in KY. Nice shots!
