More Whimsy At The Vermilon River. A Post to SWF.

Nothing especially shattering going on here. The temperatures are warmer and we're getting more snow, but it's a spring wet snow. The moon has a nice aura around it, indicating, I believe, wet weather. All pictures are reduced in size, If you want the full impact click on a photo and watch the slide show.

Just a further close up showing more of the aura, and some moon craters on the side of the moon.

The bright area is the sun rising against some grey cloud. The whole photo reminds me of that series of books which dealt with the planet Dune. The rest of the post is birds, and any copy is in the captions.

  8. Your bird shots are excellent. Why is the dove 'mourning'...? Is it because it's darker than other types of dove / pigeon? I love the sunrise / grey cloud shot.

  17. The photo of the sun rising beside the clouds is amazing! Glad to hear you are having warmer weather, even though snow is with it. I always found the wet snows warmer to walk in.
