Cloudy Skies of the Vermilon River. A Post to SWF.

Cloudy
The weather has been mostly cloudy or overcast with some rain. Probably as a result of Edna, although we are much out of her reach. Boom & I hope you are all fareing well.

Stormy Clouds
The Chickadees seem more active, and the male Goldfinch is starting his change to fall colours. In fact all around us the forest is starting to look a little more like fall.

  6. We have been getting clouds like that lately too. The Chickadee is a pretty little bird, and I like the Flickers breast plumage. Our Goldfinches will be flocking back for the Niger seed shortly.
I think Blogger is definitely up the creek, it cut me off in mid sentence when I first started this post and had me flying up and down your blog like a mad ant!

  16. Thank you for sharing these reminders that cooler weather is on the way. Our goldfinches are scruffy looking and "panting," but they still stop by for the Niger seed. It's so hot here that we have to fill the bird baths twice a day so the feathered folk can cool off. For the life of me I can't figure out why my ancestors left Kingston to come south!
