|Trees and Grey Sky
|Trees With a " bluey " Grey Sky.
In the last series someone asked if I liked the gray skies. Yes I do, and no I'm not in the least affected by it negatively.Someone send me recently a series of slides shot north of the Artic circle depicting some of the life of Laplanders. All of the scenes, except for the northern lights, are photographed in a gray/dark light brightened by the snow. Their clothing is bright, but their dogs, like Boom, and their reindeer are monochromatic. They live with it and enjoy it and so do I. I don't want to give you the impression that we get gray skies all the time, but my feeling is we get more of them now. When I first came here some 15 or 20 years ago the usual thing was a big snow storm, and then a week of bright sun with intense cold say-40C at this time of year. That I think is not the case now.
A Post to Scenic Sunday. For more scenes from the world see: http://scenicsunday.blogspot.com/.
