More Views Of the Vermilon River.

I had intended a more political post in favour of nature, and the dying world wide wilderness expressed so well in some recent publications,but the sheer photographic opportunities in the hikes of past week, despite the weather, perhaps show what a sustainable wilderness is.

  10. That was quite an enjoyable trip (even though you weren't a 100% sure about some)! What an elegant bird the Bittern is! A great capture of the red dragonfly - never seen the red one, and the flowers are all so beautiful, in particular the milkweed and the chicory!

  15. Those young birds and the adults in molt can really give you fits! That's a Double-crested Cormorant in flight, going away of course (that seems to be my most frequent point of view).

  17. You have amazing flora and fauna by the river. And so's your photography. Btw you helped me identify a species of flowers I had seen during one of my trips but couldn't recognize. Now I know them to be Viper's Bugloss :)
