They are cute and tough, choosing to winter in cold climates. You’re right, my images were of kids, there were lambs but the kids are cuter. I’m not sure about the last image, kid or lamb.

You asked about the common redpolls. I have seen more, including some males. But, they're at a feeder now that I can only see through a screened window, and I can't get decent pictures.
...or maybe they really like that you keep taking their pictures?!
