Changing Skies, Warblers, Flickers, Wildflowers, Butterflies, and Red Squirrel Antics At The Vermilon River. A Post to SWF..

 If you check the upper left corner in the photo opposite you'll see a beaver lodge on the far side of the River. That's our destination today. The day is overcast as the photo indicates and in the following scenes it gradually worsens. But by the tine it rains Boom and I will be having a well deserved lunch in the dry. There's not much to say except there were a lot of warblers around; in fact, I almost entitled the post"Warblers Of The Vermilon",but then it got even more active, with other birds which are not posted here, and the antics of the squirrel.

    the squirrel shots (especially the last one) are spectacular. i love seeing the warbler. i'm not a birder but i don't think i've seen them in this part of california.

    Fantastic sequence of shots. I love seeing the hummingbirds and all the shots for that matter but I haven't seen any hummers here yet so they are a special treat.

    Wow you have always posted great shots of the birds but I think this might be the best ever. The wild looking Chesnut Sided Warbler is just so striking you seem to have really captured it's personality and the rest of the birds are great. I have to say the Cow Vetch in the Daisies is an incredibly beautiful photo and of course the first squirrel photo what a charmer.

    I don't know which pictures I like best: the river, the birds, the butterflies, the blossoms or the squirrels. The photos of the squirrel is beautiful because of that gorgeous blue sky in the background.
