Winter,Spring, and Winter Again At The Vermilon River.

As the title implies,we had all the seasons except summer. The spring was accompanied by rain and freezing rain, and the winter by snow and more snow.Of course temperatures bounced well above zero to -35C, a tad brisk. The skies were overcast and then sunny, but you'll notice that in the photos. The joy is we still made it into the woods. I realize Boom and I are blessed beyond thousands, but I just can't imagine being inside all the time.

There are no messages this week, so click any photo and enjoy the slideshow.

A post to: I'd Rather be BirdinOur World Tuesday, and WBW.

  3. Great series of shots. You have a lot of snow, looks pristine and fresh. Enjoyed your birds, how do you do that white frame and put description on the bottom of photo? Do you use a special program for it? Have a good one!

  8. Stunning photos, as always. The squirrel's tail wave!!! Take care, both of you, if the days again give your almost all seasons in a day. Cheers from Jean.p.s. If I had to pick just one, the squirrel would get my vote, perfect.

  36. A great series of photos. The snow looks beautiful - especially as we are still sweltering in above average temperatures and heat.

  37. Sounds like Kansas weather-warm, cold, warm, cold. Great selection of shots--always fun to visit your posts. Mickie ;)

  38. The "dove tree" is my favorite among all the beautiful pictures. They look so lovely in the graceful bare tree branches. Nothing to say about your weather, because you already know how I feel! (I am really happy for you and Boomer that you can get outside though -- and I suspect he likes your weather now better than he does summertime).

  39. As always, your photos are amazing. They make me glad I'm in the middle of summer now!

  40. It does look cold where you are, but it's beautiful. Great pictures, especially the birds.

  42. Gorgeous slide show!

  43. Boom must be in his element in this kind of weather. I think a mid point between what we have here today and the weather in this post would be just fine - ie it's rather hot!!

    Nice set of pictures.

Cheers and thanks for the link to WBW.

  44. I know, I've been here before. This time I decided that the coy dove was my favorite. But what I really came back for was to ask if "convocation" was the collective noun for a group of doves or if you made it up. It is perfect. Years ago my dad had a book that gave all those collective nouns but I can't find it.

  45. All your photos are fantastic, but my favorite is the glinting snow in “sunny trail.”
