Fall Colours Of The Vermilon River.

The five day rain, maybe six, has ended, but the sunny forecast doesn't seem to hold all day as I found out on my first hike of the week, that is  yesterday. The sun stays out for a while, and then the clouds return. But the forest is a proliferation of colours. This post is not in any order but if it's foggy, it's early in the morning. The first shot is the upper River and the second the rapids.

IT'S A LONG POST SO CLICK ON ANY PHOTO TO ENLARGE AND WATCH THE SLIDE SHOW.

Fog and Reflection on the upper River.

Maple leaves.

All of the forest wild sunflowers are gone, but these are in my garden. I face east, so they're slower blooming, and they have to grow out to avoid the building overhang. They're about eight feet tall.

  11. Google made me sign in again -- so this might be more or less a repeat, not sure if the first one went or not. Anyway my favorite picture was the foggy upper river...can't wait to see it in slide show format...and really your birds are just spectacular as always.
