Sorry couldn't resist the third caption. I've had a bit of difficulty with these guys because they were with a group of House Finches, which I'll post afterwards. The point being I had to keep them straight, and there appears to be no female House Finches. Either a miss ID or a new species of bird is due soon.

    Purple finches! Another bird I haven't seen down here in the middle of the mitten. Are these taken with your 500mm lens? Good work Gary!

    Thanks and yes they were taken with the the sigma.Wait until you see the House Finches. They're like a sparrow with raspberry colouring.
